About

Katalin originally worked in business management based in Switzerland eventually settling in Edinburgh. During her previous career Katalin became involved in resettling people across the world in their chosen career after the Arab spring created many dangerous environments. It was at this time that Katalin wanted to do more after working with so many people in such difficult circumstances. This led her to pursue a career in counselling as she was finding more and more that she wished she could offer this to the people she was settling and even the team she was managing.

This led her to The University of Edinburgh to pursuing a degree and later a master’s in counselling and psychotherapy. After a mixed experience there Katalin decided that it was actually Chrysalis that would give her the full toolkit she was actually looking for. It was only after her studies with Chrysalis, did she feel like she was a true practitioner.

During this time Katalin was raising her 2 children and experienced post-natal depression. This is something that drove Katalin into the specialism of perinatal mental health and birth trauma. Katalin now has a specialist clinic specifically for motherhood and mental health and is a huge advocate for bringing birth trauma into the spotlight. Not only does Katalin fill her time with this but she works with charities donating time to women struggling with perinatal mental health. We are so proud to have given you the confidence you needed to follow your passion and your clients are so lucky to have you! For more information, please follow the link to Katalin’s website.
